New Contest Seeks Quick Stories about How Kids Help Siblings

April 30, 2005 -- What's the nicest-or funniest-thing one of your children ever did for a sister or brother In honor of May's Sibling Appreciation Day, Parenting Press is sponsoring a mini-essay contest to recognize great kids. The best story will win a copy of Parenting Press's forthcoming book, What About Me 12 Ways to Get Your Parents' Attention Without Hitting Your Sister, autographed by author Eileen Kennedy-Moore, a New Jersey psychologist and mother of four young children.



Without being saccharine or unrealistic, this wonderful hardbound book shows thoughtful, kind things that children can do to be noticed. Overflowing with colorful illustrations by Mits Katayama, it's in production now and scheduled to reach bookstores by the end of June.



To enter the Sibling Appreciation contest, all you need to do is write Parenting Press about what one of your kids did for another one. Please limit your story to 50 words or less; please type.
