The Miami Herald announced Monday that ProfileScreener.com is a Bronze finalist in its annual Business Plan Challenge (online at: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/business/14843535.htm)
The Herald's8217;s Business Plan Challenge is an annual contest open to all South Florida entrepreneurs. This year, 120 business plans were submitted to the competition, but only 15 were
chosen as finalists.
The winners were chosen by a panel of eight judges that included: The president and CEO of the Women'ss Business Development Center; a certified business analyst with Florida Atlantic
University'ss Small Business Development Center; the CEO of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce; the CEO of Venture2, a Delray Beach, FL consulting and venture management firm; the SBA
business development officer for Zions Bank Small Business Finance (a division of California Bank & Trust); the president and CEO of Levitan & Palencia, a marketing firm that
specializes in helping national and international clients break into the U.S. Hispanic market; a Defense Department contractor that is helping roll out an e-commerce site for MREs (meals
ready to eat); and the former vice president and general manager of Latin American operations of Wang Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corp. and Apple Computer.
