The RAS application will enable YPF to optimize the utilization of their rigs, by automating the generation of rig/well assignments for any given period. The drag-and-drop interface built into RAS will also allow YPF to determine the impact of their rig deployment decisions on key operational measures--such as production output and rig costs--in real time. And as operating conditions change and schedule revisions are needed, YPF will develop and evaluate multiple scenarios, before selecting the most appropriate course of action.
Deployment is expected to be completed in early 2009.
Ensuring that the right rig is in the right place at the right time, while main-taining production targets and controlling costs, is critical in the current eco-nomic situation. said Actenum'ss CEO, Paul Maurer. YPF'ss early experience with Actenum RAS shows significant improvements in productivity and ability to meet targets, and we are excited to be working with them.
