American Contract Bridge League to Hold Houston Event October 18th



The Houston area unit of the American Contract Bridge League, a non profit organization with the purpose of promoting and organizing contract bridge , is holding an all day event for the casual or social bridge player on Saturday Oct 18th at Champion Forect Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Blvd. The day will include classes and instruction to help modernize bidding and improve your play skills.

Classes will be held in the morning followed by a catered lunch and game in the afternoon. There will be a variety of classes so that each participant can choose those topics of greatest interest. Volunteers from the local bridge community will be on hand to help players and answer questions as they arise.

The fee to defray cost is $20 per participant and no partner is required.

This event serves as an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy contract bridge and would like to meet other players and improve their skills.

"For the first time in the Houston area social bridge players have an opportunity to modernize their bidding and develop new skills, as well as meet other players and learn about the variety of bridge games that are available," said local Bridge teacher Gary King. "Houston has a vibrant bridge community and thousands of players of all levels of experience play every week all over the Houston area. This is a unique opportunity that should not be missed."
