Local Professional Organizers Announce Board of Directors

May 11, 2005 -- The officers, who were elected by the group's membership, are as follows: Janice Russell, President; Geralin Thomas, Vice President; Eileen Stevie, Secretary; Shirley Hinton, Treasurer; Josette Chmiel, Immediate Past President; Christine Krieman, Membership Director; Hannah L'Hommedieu, Professional Development Director; and Kerry Crocker, Communications & Technology Director.

The mission of NAPO-NC is to promote local recognition of the field of professional organizing and to provide educational opportunities for North Carolina's professional organizers. The chapter, which was founded in 2003, has 34 members statewide. It is one of the fastest growing NAPO groups, drawing interest from organizers in Virginia and South Carolina, states which do not have their own chapters.

According to NAPO, "professional organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper, and their systems for life."

Officers are available for interviews. More information about the chapter can be found at www.naponc.org.
