InkSpotter Publishing Releases New Version of Heritage Writer
June 12, 2005 -- As of July 2005, InkSpotter Publishing will begin publishing "Heritage Writer" Vol. 2, a monthly print newsletter for anyone interested in history, genealogy, biographies, memoirs, and scrapbooks.
The original "Heritage Writer" started in 1992 in Albany, Oregon, under the direction of Margaret L. Ingram, and was acquired by InkSpotter Publishing in March 2005.
The new "Heritage Writer" (ISSN 1715-1007) embraces all cultures and encourages submissions from around the world. We're interested in articles on the mechanics of researching, recording, and preserving our heritage, as well as essays about interesting family members, past and present, and about the personal side of historical events.
The first issue includes feature articles by writing partners Catherine L. Tully and Joe Wallace, a personal essay by Gail Kavanaugh of Australia, and a book review by award-winning author Carolyn Howard-Johnson.
If you wish to contribute to "Heritage Writer", send a query or a 500-word article. We currently pay (on publication) CDN $10 for first Canadian serial rights. Contributors also receive one copy of the issue in which their work appears.
Deadline for articles is the 1st of each month, beginning July 1, 2005.
