MEDIA ALERT San Francisco Hosts 3rd Annual Yoga Championships This Sunday





What:
Dozens of yoga'ss elite will take to an open-air stage to inspire crowds during the 3rd Annual Northern California Yoga Championships.

Who:
The competitors practice various types of yoga and are from cities throughout northern California. The event is organized by a committee of leading yoga studios throughout northern California and is spearheaded by yoga legends Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury. Funky Door Yoga is the main sponsor. The event, which will offer numerous sponsor give-aways, is sure to appeal to both the yoga-committed and yoga-curious.

When:
Sunday, October 16, 2005
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Where:
Justin Herman Plaza
1 Embarcadero Center
San Francisco, CA 94111. This is across the street from The Ferry Building.

Why:
Under the San Francisco sun, people will be inspired to begin or deepen their yoga practice. It presents a great opportunity for photos of northern California'ss most lithe and limber -- contorting their bodies into seemingly impossible positions. In a fun environment, competitors will be able to 'scompete with oneself's and ultimately deepen their own practice. This event also marks the chance for winning competitors to gain entry into the National Championship, and thereafter, the International Championship.
