Scrapbook Weekends filled with friends, fun, food and laughter are well spent in The Country Lodge at Sabbath Song Farm. Renovations on the converted, 100 year-old gambrel roof barn have been completed, and the creative space is ideal for crafters of all types. For scrap bookers, the Garden Art Studio opens on either end with large French doors and views overlooking the 265 acres at Sabbath Song Farm. The atmosphere for creative guests is sure to inspire a masterpiece or two during a weekend at The Country Lodge.
Each scrap booker has their own 6-foot table, rolling task chair, plenty of overhead lighting and snacks, supplies and room enough for 11 friends in the Garden Art Studio. Located less
than an hour from Cincinnati, and just a couple of hours from Dayton, Lexington, Louisville, Indianapolis, Columbus and many major mid-west cities. Sabbath Song Farm is worth the drive,
just to visit their awe-inspiring farm.
We wanted to create a space for scrap bookers, quilters, or artists of any kind to come out and enjoy our views, our property, take walks or arrange a horse-drawn wagon ride at sunset.
The grounds of Sabbath Song Farm are so inspiring, I want to share it with everyone, said Carolyn Boatman. Wes and Carolyn own Sabbath Song Farm and both are artists. Wes is a nine-time
Emmy award winning composer for his music. Carolyn is a true artist with multiple talents including painting, mosaic prints, a technique she has perfected and now teaches in workshops,
and her special weekend retreat for females, the Soul Sojourn weekend.
Scrapbook weekends begin at 3 p.m. on Friday night and run through 3 p.m. on Sunday. Carolyn supplies all the home-cooked meals, snacks, drinks, and some scrapbook supplies are available
to purchase. A horse-drawn carriage ride and massage can be arranged in advance for those looking for an extra special treat. For all groups booking through the end of 2009, with a
minimum of nine paying guests, the 10th guest is free. Booking can be set for anytime between September 1 and all of 2010 to take advantage of this special discount.
The Country Lodge has two master suites, one with a king size bed, one with a queen bed, two full baths and an overhead loft which sleeps eight more in their own bed. For anyone seeking a
romantic getaway, a family reunion or a friends weekend away, The Country Lodge has excellent accommodations for any group from two to 12. A deluxe, fully-equipped kitchen is available
for guests who choose to make their own food rather than partake of Carolyn'ss incredible dishes. A full menu that is included in the Scrapbook Weekend can be found on line at www.sabbathsongfarm.com
