PDLD Successfully Renews ISO 9001 Certification

PD-LD, Inc., the worldwide leader in Volume Bragg Grating (VBG)technology, announced that it has successfully renewed its ISO certification. Originally developed in Europe, the International Organization for Standardization's 9001:2000 designation is considered to be the gold standard for quality assurance within the high-tech industry and beyond.

More importantly, the certification reflects each team member's commitment to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients."

According to the International Organization for Standardization, the ISO 9001:2000 is a set of standards for quality management systems and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies.

Some of the requirements to earn ISO 9001 designation include:

�    Conducting procedures that cover all key processes in the business;

�    Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;

�    Keeping adequate records;

�    Checking for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary;

�    Reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself regularly;

�    Installing measures to achieve continual improvement; and

�    Conforming to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.

First certified in 2002, this year marks PD-LD's seventh consecutive year of ISO certification and its second successful renewal.
