Sandra Gares has spent her life caring for other members of her family, but now she is the one needing help. Poor health has caught up with Ms. Gares, who at 62, has become disabled by severe arthritis in her knees. To help her become mobile again, The SCOOTER Store is donating a Pride Jazzy Select 14XL (http://ncps-cpr.net/about.php) of Houston, Texas to make the gift available to Ms. Gares.
After seeing a television ad (http://www.thescooterstore.com/aboutus/bios/dougharrison.aspx), CEO and Founder of The SCOOTER Store, says he too is "pleased that the power wheelchair will
restore Ms. Gares's mobility and allow her more freedom. She has devoted so much to caring for others, we are happy to do this for her."
Mr. Harrison and his wife, Susanna, started the Gift of Mobility program in December 2002 to help people like Ms. Gares improve their quality of life by regaining their independence and
mobility. Since then, the outreach program has worked with organizations around the world to donate power wheelchairs (http://www.thescooterstore.com/locations/state/CA.html). The SCOOTER Store has worked with more than 100,000
physicians, providing expertise and quality service to their patients, and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. For additional information, visit The SCOOTER
