Ranken Jordan - A Pediatric Specialty Hospital proudly hosted Shining Lights, a holiday auction benefiting pediatric patients healing from serious illness or injury, on December 2, 2007. The family-centered event was a success, raising more than $12,500 and drawing more than 350 people.
Silent auction of Christmas and Hanukkah items, themed holiday trees ranging from table-top size to 8-foot-tall, wreaths, and centerpieces from professional florists, corporate sponsors
and independent donors were the main attraction. Family holiday photos in an antique sleigh were captured by Stacey Cox Photography while the sale Silpada Designs sterling silver jewelry
by Laurie Stafford was the talk among lady shoppers.
Starbucks Coffee, Nestle hot chocolate and Russo's punch and cookies offered patrons warmth and contentment amidst the arrival of winter temperatures outside. Appearances by Santa and
Mrs. Claus, Fredbird, Louie, Bobaloo, Music for Tots, and Clown Docs entertained children in Santa's Village.
