Florida Land Developer helps Costa Rican City Improve Public Water...

For many residents in the area of Damas, a small community outside of Quepos, Costa Rica, taking a shower or making a cup of coffee is a harrowing experience. The lack of fresh water in the summer months and below par water pressure from old and outdated water infrastructure affects as many as 400 local residents in the area.

Now, thanks to engineers from Paragon Properties of Costa Rica, a Hollywood, Florida based company currently developing land in the central Pacific coast area of Costa Rica, a new water solution is currently being developed to help the Damas residents with their daily water dilemma.

Paragon Properties's8217; engineers have recently proposed to local officials the complete renovation of a 20-year-old water tank located only 15 minutes northeast of the city of Quepos. The win-win proposal would allow Paragon Properties the ability to provide high quality water services to the 85 new homes they are building in their 's8220;Presidential Estates's8221; and 's8220;Punta Verde's8221; developments in the area, while also improving the quality of water being delivered to almost 400 local residents.

The proposed water delivery plan would call for Paragon Properties to bear the entire financial burden of renovating the outdated water tank and collection system. According to Paragon water specialist David Rice, Due to increased demand over the years, the existing system is no longer able to meet the demands of the community. It is our pleasure to upgrade this overtaxed water delivery system to provide our own customers the best possible water service. But it is especially rewarding to us to be able to help local residents to also upgrade their own water service in the process. It really is a nice way for us to become a part of the community and help our new neighbors enjoy a better quality of life.'s8221;

Paragon Properties estimates the entire water system renovation to cost 10's8217;s of thousands of US Dollars and will take about 3 months to complete once approved by local officials. Paragon has also just completed the cutting of several miles of new roads in the area as well as finishing two new model homes in the 's8220;Presidential Estates's8221; and 's8220;Punta Verde's8221; subdivisions. Paragon Properties of Costa Rica has sold out eleven complete subdivisions in the area between Jaco and Quepos on the south central Pacific coast, as well as in the Miramar area in the northern section of Costa Rica.
