FlowSense Awarded 8a Certification

November 17, 2004 -- FlowSense was recently awarded 8(a) certification by the Small Business Administration (SBA). The 8(a) program will allow FlowSense to compete on a level playing field with larger companies for government contracts. The benefits of the nine-year program include:



- 8(a) firms can receive sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $3 million for goods and services and $5 million for manufacturing.

- Over 25 Federal agencies can contract directly with certified 8(a) firms through a signed Memorandum of Understanding with SBA.

- FlowSense can form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts, enhancing our ability to perform larger prime contracts and overcome the effects of contract bundling, the combining of two or more contracts together into one large contract.
