NoFrench.ning.com calls the French officials "hypocritical," pointing out that the French President was happy get a $30 billion trade deal with China just 4 months ago. He then turns around and makes public threats against China. The site points out these actions "..hurt the feelings of Chinese around the world."
They also condemn the behavior in Paris on Monday as protestors disrupted the Olympic torch relay and caused the torch to be put out. The site call the attack by French protestors on the Olympic flame "not in keeping with the spirit of the Olympic Games."
One member of the group said: "The Olympic Games are about the sports and the athletes. These French officials should be ashamedtrying to exploit the Olympic games for political gain. And the people of France should be ashamed to have the great tradition of the torch relay sabotaged in the streets of Paris."
Using the buying power of this huge group of consumers, NoFrench.ning.com says they will only call off the boycott request when the French President apologizes.
They encourage visitors to the site (which is written in English and Chinese, but not French), to post their opinions, sign an on-line petition and boycott all things French, "from French perfume and champagne to French fashion and French food."
