Antiwar League Unveils New Internet Headquarters
June 23, 2005 -- The Antiwar League, a non partisan organization whose purpose is to unite members of the antiwar movement from across the entire political spectrum, has unveiled its new Internet headquarters.
The new website, located at www.antiwarleague.com includes a redesigned main section of the site, a blog and community features. The entire site also is displayed when users enter the domains antiwarleague.net and antiwarleague.org.
The domain is going to be used for information dissemination, outreach to individuals and groups opposed to war, online organizing of events across the United States and for educating the general public about how to plead conscientious objector status in the military, how to avoid
pressure tactics used by recruiters on young students and other topics which the League can help the public to better understand our positions.
The blog section of the domain will feature short and full length articles and other writings contributed by League members and guests invited to contribute to the site. These articles will be first run original editorial pieces unavailable elsewhere or reprinted articles contributed by League members posted elsewhere.
Future site enhancements will focus on developing multimedia content for the site including an original antiwar podcast which will be contributed to the site by Layman Media, the web developers of record for the League and designers of the newly unveiled website. Antiwar League Public Service Announcements will be available for download as well and links to media articles which mention the League will be available in our Media room.
We encourage you to visit us on the web by pointing your browsers toward http://www.antiwarleague-.com to check out the new site. We look forward to getting down to work organizing the members of the Antiwar League to establish a true grassroots and non partisan voice that says NO to the War Party that has inhabited Washington DC for so long.
