Arkansas Tea Party Rally to be Held at River Market Amphitheater June 15, 2009


Arkansas Tea Party will host a rally at the River Market in Little Rock, AR on June 15, 2009 starting at 5:30 pm. Special guests will include Bob Basso, commonly known as Thomas Paine on YouTube and the Glenn Beck Show. Speakers will include Tom Cox, President of the Arkansas Tea Party; Dave Elswick, Radio Host of KARN and Dan Greenberg, Arkansas State Representative.


Little Rock (Vocus) June 11, 2009 -- On Monday, June 15th, citizens from across Arkansas who are concerned about the unrestrained growth of the federal government and the mounting debt from reckless government spending will rally to support the values that laid the foundation for the United States's8217; freedom and greatness: individual liberty and free market ideals.The rally, to be held at the River Market Amphitheater from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, will feature grassroots speakers from around Arkansas and entertainment including Bob Basso, commonly known as 's8220;Thomas Paine's8221; on YouTube and the Glenn Beck Show.



Facts*:


>    Arkansas, with nearly 15% of total employment based in manufacturing and 48% of energy generation from coal, would be one of the hardest hit states by any restrictions on carbon-dioxide emissions (CO2) currently being considered in Congress .


>    The Congressional Budget Office forecasts that the federal government may double the national debt over the next five years. This would push the debt-to-GDP ratio from 41% to 71% and put the United States's8217; credit rating at risk.


>    A recent Pew Research poll showed that only 43% of independent voters support the government going in deeper in debt for welfare programs, down from 57% two years ago.
