Portsmouth, NH April 26, 2006 -- At a standing room only fundraiser with former presidential candidate Senator John Edwards, Democracy for New Hampshire announced its first ten of fifty endorsements for the November 2006 elections.



"Our organization supports socially progressive, fiscally responsible candidates who speak honestly about policy choices," said Political Director Karen Liot Hill, "and we are proud to support this slate of candidates to represent the people of New Hampshire in Concord."



David Borden for State Representative (Rockingham 18)

Bob Bruce for Executive Council (District 4)

Betsi DeVries for State Senate (District 18)

Eileen Flockhart for State Representative (Rockingham 13)

Suzanne Harvey for State Representative (Hillsborough 21)

Maggie Hassan for State Senate (District 23)

Marcia Moody for State Representative (Rockingham 12)

Susi Nord for State Representative (Rockingham 1)

Terie Norelli for State Representative (Rockingham 16)

Deb Pignatelli for Executive Council (District 5)



The Portsmouth event was organized by grassroots leader Laurie McCray to raise funds to support candidates who will be endorsed by DFNH in the 2006 election cycle. The organization intends to endorse 50 candidates over the next six months and will be making monthly announcements leading up to November.
