"The goal of the profile is to match an individual's personality type to a career and ultimately to an educational degree path," said Todd Zipper, Chief Operating Officer for Education Connection.
Personality types are assessed by asking a series of questions to determine an individual's preferences. Using the weighted responses, the tool measures certain facets of the user's personality, such as extraversion or analytical thinking. Upon completion, the test provides a detailed description of the individual's personality type and careers which match with that exact personality.
"The personality type matrix was developed similarly to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator," said Zipper. "What makes our test unique is the addition of being matched to a career, which can then be matched to an online college (http://www.educationconnection.com) to make that career possible."
