Stratford Career Institute Updates High School Diploma Program

Distance learning school Stratford Career Institute recently updated their high school diploma (http://www.scitraining.com/Courses_US/High_School_Diploma/Course.htm) program through contemporary upgrades to the American History and American Government modules.

Stratford'ss newly updated American History and American Government modules include modernized textbooks and study guides that detail the last fifty years of American history and the important roles of American government in today'ss society.

Due to the ever-changing dynamics of today'ss society, especially within the government, it is important that we continue to provide our students with the most accurate and up-to-date learning materials as possible, said Michael Boulay, Vice President of Student Services at Stratford Career Institute.

Stratford Career Institute'ss high school diploma program employs a distinct educational training method that allows students to complete their high school diploma studies at home rather than spending hours in a classroom. These contemporary enhancements include the utilization of online tools combined with more traditional correspondence education.

Stratford Career Institute first offered their distance learning high school diploma program in 1991. Since then, more than 250,000 students have enrolled in their high school diploma program.

We have definitely seen an increase in the number of students interested in furthering their education with our high school diploma program, added Mr. Boulay.

The United States Distance Learning Association states that the number of students enrolling in distance learning programs continues to grow and that more than 2.3 million students will take distance learning courses in the next few years.

In addition, the U.S. Department of Commerce reports that more than 80 percent of 18-24 year olds who dropped out of high school eventually go on to hold some type of high school credential.

I think this can be attributed to the fact that more and more people are realizing the monetary and personal benefits of having a high school diploma or equivalent, said Mr. Boulay.

Statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau support this idea since in 2006, high school graduates m

ade $10,198 more than non-grads.
