An Esoteric Quest for Inner America will be held at the tranquil Menla Mountain (http://http://www.menla.org) Retreat 's38; Conference Center in Phoenicia, New York. The five-day learning and cultural event will be followed by a post conference journey entitled Esoteric Upstate New York: Iroquois Nations, Feminists, Utopians and 21st Century Esotericists.



After 7 successful Esoteric Quest conferences held in Europe, The NY Open Center felt that with the rebirth of the American spirit now made possible by the Obama presidency the time has come to delve into a search for Inner America. Speakers and participants from all over the world will explore the spirituality of the Iroquois Nation, early American Alchemists, the Masonic circles associated with some of the Founding Fathers, the insights of the Transcendentalists and deep esoteric insights of numerous influential artists and writers in American history including Saul Bellow.



The conference aims to examine and celebrate the life-enhancing spiritual impulses that emerge powerfully in America such as the creative meeting of all cultures and spiritual paths, the natural American generosity of spirit, the Yes We Can attitude of optimism and self-belief, and the bedrock commitment to the virtue of equality.
