This Month Sees the Launch of a New Publication Aimed at British People Living in America

UK Today aims to provide a lively mix of news, entertainment, sport and features aimed at Brits living in the Northeast of the country. The September edition will feature a full report on the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on London and a 9/11 tribute.

The monthly newspaper is owned by British-born publisher Yomi Karade. Now living in New Jersey, she says that she noticed a hole in the market, when it came to providing exciting news and events for British people.

"I was looking for a newspaper that focussed directly on what British people were doing in NJ, NY, CT (Tri-state) PA and Boston. I wanted to know what British people were doing and where I could buy and sit down to eat some good British Food, but I didn't know where to go. So after asking around I realised that other British People wanted to know more about what was going on in the community."

The news and features team consists of a dedicated team based in NJ and London. Regular items include a Brit interview with a well-known personality as well as the latest music and entertainment from the UK, as well as an exciting blend of news from the northeast.

UK Today is sponsored by Bluestone Coffee House in Montclair NJ.

The newspaper is part of the UK Today Media Group LLC based in Bloomfield NJ to be launched in September. For more information, call Yomi Karade on 973 820 5795. In September, readers can view UK Today online at www.uktodaynews.com
