Rubenstein Public Relations To Represent Guernseys Auction House in...

Guernsey's, the three-decade-old auction house famous for presenting the finest cultural and historical artifacts, has hired Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) to publicize its Rosa Parks archive, which will be sold in its entirety to a museum, university or other institution.

RPR has represented Guernsey's in past auctions, including those pertaining to John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, Jerry Garcia, John Coltrane and Mickey Mantle.

The Rosa Parks Archive features thousands of items, ranging from childhood mementos to personal writings, books inscribed by presidents and gifts from American school children.

The recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, the nation's two highest awards, Mrs. Parks' single defiant act, refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white man, marked the beginning of the civil rights movement. She died in 2005.
