New Partnership to Provide Federal Government Solutions
May 6, 2005 -- Three companies have announced today a new partnership to provide satellite
network management solutions to the Federal Government. Network management specialist Parallel has teamed up with technology provider ManTech International Corporation and technology business integration consultancy Taylor McKenzie, Inc. to offer cutting edge management for satellite networks and hybrid satellite/terrestrial networks.
Central to the partnership is SatManage, a satellite
network management suite developed by Parallel. The suite offers pioneering visual correlation of network events and monitors satellite signal quality. SatManage is proven to significantly improve network performance while reducing operational costs. The Auto Helpdesk component can open and close up to 70% of network trouble tickets without the need for human intervention. The suite integrates with management software already in place and acts as a "manager of managers," providing a net-centric, high-level view of the network.
"We are delighted to form this new partnership," said Eugene Renzi, U.S. Army Major General (Ret) and President of the Defence Systems Group at ManTech. "SatManage is an excellent product which we feel will shape how the Federal Government manages its satellite networks."
The partnership will be working together at the forthcoming TechNet International 2005 trade show. ManTech International Corporation will be exhibiting at booth 1138; joining ManTech, will be representatives from Parallel and Taylor McKenzie demonstrating SatManage. TechNet International 2005 takes place at the Washington Convention Center, Washington DC from May 17-19.
"Parallel is very excited to announce this partnership and to work with both ManTech International Corporation and Taylor McKenzie," said Tim Moore, President, Parallel. "SatManage has tremendous potential for use in the Federal Government and this partnership will widen our opportunities considerably"
Jim Patty, Executive Vice President, Taylor McKenzie added: "The experience and technical expertise of the three companies, combined with the excellent functionality and benefits of SatManage will mean that we can provide superb satellite
network management solutions for the sector."
