Revision Eyewear Concludes Canadian Department of National Defence Fulfilment



May 7, 2005 -- Revision Eyewear Inc., developers of purpose-built eyewear for military and law enforcement clients worldwide, today announced that its contract to provide the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) with 110,000 pairs of Ballistic Eyewear, now known commercially as the Sawfly Military Eyewear System (see "Visual" below), has been completed on schedule and on budget.

Initiated in 2003, the DND's contract with Revision was originally for 80,000 pairs of ballistic eyewear. In response to additional demand, the order was increased to 110,000 units in 2004. This contract also includes a provision for the delivery of up to 50,000 additional units over the next five years.

Specifically developed for battlefield deployment, Revision's military eyewear surpasses specification requirements by delivering the highest levels of impact resistance, compatibility, durability, functionality and comfort. High-impact, easily interchangeable one-piece protective polycarbonate lenses ("clear" for nocturnal and indoor use, and "solar" to reduce outdoor glare) lock into a slimline frame with microslot adjustable arms and provide 100% UV protection. Sawfly ballistic eyewear is fully compatible with existing military systems (helmets, night vision, personal weapons, etc.). Available in two sizes, this eyewear may also be customized to accommodate prescription lenses.
