GovDelivery, Inc., the world'ss leading provider of government-to-citizen digital communication solutions, has relocated its corporate headquarters and signed a long-term lease through 2014 in the historic Hamm Building in downtown Saint Paul. This location is GovDelivery'ss third in Saint Paul since its founding in 1999 and establishes Saint Paul as the company'ss home for future growth.
The City of Saint Paul (http://www.stpaul.gov/) was GovDelivery'ss first government customer and began using the company'ss email and digital
subscription management platform in 2001. Today, more than 35,000 people receive updates from the city through GovDelivery on a range of important topics including snow emergencies, City
Council meetings, city festivals, and programs in its parks and libraries.
GovDelivery helped Saint Paul meet the expectation that government be more connected and transparent to its residents. We'sre proud that we have been able to help GovDelivery meet the
needs of its employees as it has grown from a startup into an industry leader, said Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman. GovDelivery'ss decision to grow its headquarters and stay in Saint Paul
is a sign that the company'ss future is bright and that the city is becoming a growing center for technology innovation in the Upper Midwest.
GovDelivery was named one of the top 20 fastest-growing, privately held companies in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region by the Minneapolis/ St. Paul Business Journal last October. It
marked the third consecutive year GovDelivery was recognized.
GovDelivery has grown every year since its founding and currently serves more than 300 government clients. In May, government entities sent over 150 million messages to the public using
GovDelivery'ss Email and Digital Subscription Management platform, a 300-percent increase compared to May 2008.
GovDelivery employs more than 50 people in Saint Paul, with satellite offices in Washington, D.C., and London. The company expects to continue to grow its technology, marketing, and teams
during 2009.
We'sre thrilled to remain in Saint Paul as we continue building a great company, said Scott Burns, CEO and co-founder of GovDelivery. Our new location places us in the center of one of
the most vibrant entertainment and commercial districts in the country with a growing technology community. This is exactly the kind of environment we need to attract and retain the best
possible people.
