Arnold Facilitating Q and A at Obama IT Vision Briefing



Stephen E. Arnold, president of Arnold Information Technology, http://arnoldit.com, and a recognized expert on online systems and information processing, will attend and facilitate an open-floor question and answer session at the Change 2010: Responding to Real Time Information, Open Systems and the Obama IT Vision briefing at 9 a.m. September 23, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.



Somat Engineering, 8(a) technical services and engineering firm, is holding the special, limited attendance briefing in response to a challenge from the Obama administration for federal information technology managers to explore more open systems. The briefing features three presentations from experts that will provide a road map for tapping real-time information and controlling information costs. The approach: innovative engineering and new features of open source, Google and Microsoft systems.



Arnold, host of the Q and A session, is the author of The Google Trilogy, a compendium of three volumes: The Google Legacy, Google Version 2.0, and Google: The Digital Gutenberg, published in July 2009 by Infonortics.com. Presentations will be given by Arpan Patel, director of Somat'ss information engineering practice, giving Open Systems and Existing Architectures: Engineering to Control Costs and Enabling Dataspaces; Robert Steele, CEO of OSS Inc. and founder of the Marine Corps Intelligence Center, presenting Real Time Information: Injecting Now Information into Decision Systems; and Jim Orris, director of Adhere Solutions,the Google partner responsible for US Federal government sales, will review Google'ss solutions for information integration and crafting more open solutions using Google'ss platform and Web services to hook into traditional systems using Google compatible connectors and software
