Arlington, VA October 22, 2005 8211;- The Griffin Method, LLC, announces publication of The Hurricane Katrina/Rita Contractor's Digest, a compilation of essential hurricane recovery information for the government contracting community.

Designed to give small businesses quick reference and immediate contact information, this desktop compilation describes steps to register companies with the federal government, as well as names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses to reach prime contractors charged with hurricane recovery responsibilities.

"In the last month, we have done the work that contractors wouldn't have the time to do," said Dick Griffin, CEO of The Griffin Method. "Where there was too much information to digest after Hurricane Katrina struck, we realized we needed just that: a Digest. We got busy reading the web sites and newspapers, attending the hearings and briefings, and updating whatever we found to get the information to businesses quickly."

The result is a 128-page publication, divided into four sections. Section I provides a history of Hurricane Katrina to give both background and perspective on Gulf Region issues which will be relevant for years to come. Section II includes the names and contact information for specific regional Small Business Administration procurement and commercial marketing representatives. Procurement representatives initiate small business set-asides and provide small business sources to Federal buying activities. Commercial marketing representatives conduct match-making and counseling activities to connect small businesses with sub-contracting opportunities, and to provide orientation and training for small and large businesses.

Heavily researched to cut through hours of phone calls, repetition, and outdated information, Section III lists the most recent and relevant web addresses, as well as immediate and correctly sequenced steps, for companies to register their products and services with the federal government.

Contractor's Digest information, including Hurricane prime contractor contact information for all hurricanes hitting the United States since Katrina (including the anticipated Wilma), will be updated bi-weekly via e-mail subscription to all who purchase The Hurricane Katrina/Rita contractor's Digest. Details are at www.thegriffinmethod.com.

"We are responding to the many phone calls and e-mails from out clients and other businesses," Griffin said. "We feel a tremendous responsibility to help the business community de-mystify this process and help our citizens in the Gulf States region get back on their feet."

The Griffin Method, LLC, based in Arlington, Virginia, is a consulting firm that conducts seminars in federal contracting and provides business development services for companies nationwide. The Griffin Method is located at 1101 S. Arlington Ridge Road, Suite 715, Arlington, VA 22202.
