Anne Wayman Leaves Aboutcom to Launch New Freelance Writing Site

April 27, 2005 -- Anne Wayman, writing and editing veteran and former Guide for About.com's freelance writers site, announced the launch of her latest venture: AboutFreelanceWriting.com

"The new site features twice-a-week freelance writing job postings as well as original articles for writers in all stages of their careers." Wayman said.

Another feature of the site is a freelance writing forum that allows writers and journalism professionals to network and share ideas. "We have attracted numerous writing professionals who are eager to share their knowledge and who enjoy creating a community of support with writers of all levels of expertise," she said. "We have writers and editors from nearly every genre and business sector. The goal is mutual support and it's working well."

Wayman's own 30+ years as a successful freelance writer and writing coach lets her speak to beginners and experts alike. Her fist success was a series of books and pamphlets for Hazleden, some of which are still being printed. She has written in the computer industry, about boats and has ghostwritten for two best selling authors. She has also edited magazines and newspapers, giving her experience on the publisher side as well.

"I'm sometimes surprised at how much I've learned about freelance writing," she said. "The web makes it possible to share that information and to create community."
