Jokes Newsletter Circulation Surpasses 100000

June 22, 2005 -- ArcaMax Publishing Inc. (www.arcamax.com), a leading provider of family-friendly news, is proud to announce that its Jokes publication has reached 100,000 subscribers -- an increase of 70,000 in one year.

The online newsletter is sent out daily and is "PG-rated," according to ArcaMax Publishing editors. It generally includes four jokes ranging from political to household humor and funny quotes from comedians.

"One day you may find a quote from Jay Leno or one day you'll get a list of the dreaded Murphy's Laws," said Hugh Spain, ArcaMax Publishing Managing Editor. "We'll put in there just about anything we think people will get a chuckle out of as long as the jokes are family friendly and non-offensive."

The Jokes ezine had approximately 30,000 subscribers in June of 2004, which reflects an increase of 70,000 subscribers over a year.

Spain said many subscribers will send jokes to him to be included in the ezine. "The great thing about an ezine like this is that people can participate easily as long as the jokes they send are clean, which means we publish about half of the ones we receive," Spain said with a laugh of his own.

The company's success with sending jokes indicates that SPAM awareness on the Internet has not hurt all types of e-mail. While users today take more caution in opening commercial e-mail, "apparently the novelty of circulating jokes to others has not worn off," Spain added.

If interested receiving the Jokes newsletter every weekday, visit http://www.arcamax.com/cgi-bin/regtrackid=100&npg=3'source=1004 . Every ezine subscription is confirmed with an e-mail (double opt-in) and the company is fully compliant with Federal CAN-SPAM law.

All jokes that are run in the newsletter are also posted on the ArcaMax Publishing Jokes page at http://www.arcamax.com/cgi-bin/news/channel/1009.
