SoftCare Overset Manager 40 and SoftCare Notes Manager 20 Now Available for Adobe InDesign CS2 and Adobe InCopy CS2

InDesign and InCopy solution provider SoftCare today announced that the plug-ins SoftCare Overset Manager and SoftCare Notes Manager are now available for Adobe Creative Suite 2. SoftCare Overset Manager gives users total control over text length and overset, and is the ideal tool for everybody dealing with text-intensive files on a regular basis. SoftCare Notes Manager improves on the native inline notes feature in Adobe InDesign and InCopy, allowing to filter notes by date and name and displaying all notes in a convenient list view. Additionally, both plug-ins remain compatible with InDesign CS and InCopy CS.

SoftCare has added some new features to make the work with overset text safer and more convenient. Users are now able to see if a file contains overset text and which text frames are affected. From the Overset Manager palette, users can go directly to a specific overset frame, and start editing the text. Additionally, users will be alerted when printing or exporting a document containing overset text allowing then to continue or to cancel the process. This feature guarantees an even higher level of production security, thus helping to prevent costly mistakes.

A new preference lets the user decide which corner of a text frame will act as an anchor to the overset text frame. Overset frames can be placed conveniently at the top right corner in the document so that even long overset text will be visible. Alternatively, overset text frames can also be placed to the left of the original text frame when using right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.

The plug-ins are now available for InDesign and InCopy CS and CS2 for Mac OS X and Windows from plug-in stores worldwide where you can purchase the SoftCare Overset Manager update as well.
