About the Author: Stephanie M. Feggins' writing talent was noticed in high school, when she won third place in a regional poetry contest. It gained her two academic scholarship awards, which then paved the way for her to attend college at Winston-Salem State University. While Stephanie completed her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, she served as a staff reporter for the university's campus newspaper. She has worked as a speechwriter and as a freelance journalist. "A Girl Mistreated," her first published novel, was born from a mixture of experience and perception of the young, present-day female reality.
