Adam Wilcox British GT Race Report from Pau in France with the JMH Automotive Ferrari F360 GT
Rounds 4 and 5 of the Championship were held on the fabulous Pau street circuit in the south of France in front of around 60's000 spectators in 30 degrees heat.
Adam Wilcox would qualify the car for Monday'ss main race and managed 3rd place despite limited testing due to technical problems with the JMH Ferrari I was pleased with 3rd and it could have been higher as there was a puncture on the right hand front tyre and it was a difficult circuit for a Ferrari which like faster more flowing circuits Commented Adam Wilcox
Phil Burton started Sundays race and would retire after only 10 racing laps, due to a fuel pump failure.
Adam started Monday'ss main event and was running in strong 3rd place, before the climate of the South of France in June would make the Ferrari'ss engine suffer as the engine temperature would climb to over 115 degrees The car started to lose power after about 20 minutes and I slipped down the order to 5th, and then the car started to miss gears, I pitted to hand over to Phil Burton would only managed a few laps before having to pit and retire with no gears
I am looking forward to the next race at Mondello Park as I had Pole Position there last year and our car works well at the circuit
The next race is at Mondello Park in Ireland on the 24/25 th June 2006
