Will Langhorne Joins Porsche Michelin Supercup Series Debut this Weekend at US Grand Prix with Germany8217s Team MRS



Molitor Racing Systems (Team MRS) today announced that American driver Will Langhorne will race for the German motorsports syndicate for the remainder of this year's8217;s prestigious Porsche Michelin Supercup series. In his first appearance in the Formula 1 support series since 2002, Langhorne will make his debut this weekend at the US Grand Prix in Indianapolis racing in Team MRS's8217;s Sanitec Industries and Dell sponsored #15 car. Sanitec and Dell will be title sponsors of Team MRS's8217;s number 15 car for the remainder of the 2006 season. There will be several Americans racing at the USGP; however, Langhorne will be the sole American in the four remaining Grand Prix stops of the hyper-competitive Supercup championship. And in 2002, fresh off his rookie season in the Indy Racing League, Langhorne competed in the Supercup series for the top ranked Kadach Tuning + Service team out of Germany. Porsche 911 GT3s are race-modified versions of Porsche's8217;s flagship 911 sports car. Since 1993 the Supercup has run as support to the European Formula 1 rounds, with the first overseas race being added to the calendar in 1999.
