Sigal and Plumb Impressive in First Test Day at Daytona

Gene Sigal and Matt Plumb, co-driving the No. 7 Fortune Market Racing Dinan BMW Riley made history today at Daytona. It was the first time that the Fortune Market Racing Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series racing team was on track. Matt Plumb ranked on top of the leader board for almost 4 hours with a very quick time on the new Pirelli tires. This was an outstanding performance since the Rookie Daytona Prototype driver tested for the first time ever in a Riley DP car! The track went faster at night and the Fortune Market Racing duo ranked sixth overall at the end of the day; a great performance for the California team that recently became the first North American publicly traded racing team.

Gene Sigal, who is also in his rookie season in Daytona Prototype did an excellent job today. He ran about 200 miles and ran as fast as some of the best DP drivers in the series.

"I am so excited. Our car is awesome and Matt Plumb and I really get alone well. Today I learned more than in an entire season," declared Gene Sigal, vice president of Fortune Market Media and director and driver of Fortune Market Racing.

"This is awesome. Our guys prepared a great car and deserve to be recognized," announced Emmanuel Lupe, managing director of Fortune Market Racing. "We put the new set of tires on a little too early today and I think that cost us a top five place overall but it is not crucial. This is only testing. Our new technical director, Hayden Burvill, did an excellent job today and the team accomplished everything listed on its' to do list," added Lupe.

The Fortune Market Racing team has one more test day tomorrow and will try to find a better setup and continue its preparation for the January 2008 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Stephan Gregoire, the 1993 Indy 500 Fastest Rookie, will test for Fortune Market Racing with Gene Sigal and Matt Plumb.

Fortune Market Media, the rapidly expanding diversified media and communications corporation and only publicly traded company to own a racing team, will meet with racing fans, media and potential investors Saturday, November 17th, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

On hand will be Gene Sigal, driver for the Fortune Market Racing Team, as well as Arthur Kats, Fortune Market president and CEO. They will be in the Kentia Hall, booth K431 from noon to 6 p.m. to discuss the racing series, the team, the car, the schedule and becoming the first North American publicly traded race team.
