K1 Speed Unveils its Sixth Indoor Kart Racing Center in TorranceCalifornia

K1 Speed - the nation'ss largest indoor kart racing chain - is opening its sixth location in Torrance, California. The 50,000 sq. ft. indoor racetrack will be the first K1 Speed facility in Los Angeles County, and will be located just minutes off of the 405 freeway near LAX.

The Torrance facility will be the fifth K1 Speed location in Southern California, joining Carlsbad, Irvine, Anaheim and Ontario. K1 Speed also operates a facility in Redmond, Washington which serves the Pacific Northwest.

K1 Speed Torrance offers two meeting rooms on-location equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual entertainment systems, 110 projection screens, Wi-Fi Internet access, tables, chairs and linens. The meeting rooms can accommodate up to 45 guests, and are well-suited to host corporate events, product launches, and private parties. A variety of catering services are also available to meet customer'ss needs.

K1 Speed has built its reputation on indoor karting though, and like other K1 Speed locations, Torrance will feature a professionally-designed indoor go kart track that features both long straights and hairpin turns. While customers are waiting to race, they can relax in the spacious lobby which has comfortable seating, club-like lighting, and large projection screen and plasma televisions. Racers can also take advantage of the on-site video arcades or grab a snack at the Pit Caf's233;. Official racing memorabilia is also be on display, including racing suits, helmets and even authentic race cars.

To enhance the racing experience, K1 Speed utilizes a live telemetry system that allows new racers to compare their performance statistics against the more than 650,000 racers who have previously raced at other K1 Speed locations.
