Scheduled May Appearance for President of KBRTAM740
May 7, 2005 -- This month's Paul McGuire Show takes an inside look at KBRT's 25th Anniversary milestone by interviewing some of the biggest names in Christian broadcasting. Topping the list is the President of Crawford Broadcasting, Donald B. Crawford, Sr. The featured interview will take a look back at the beginning of the station, its successes and address plans for the future.
As the holder of more than 30 radio stations, Crawford is the largest privately owned Christian radio station proprietor in the country. He also retains 11 secular stations located throughout the country. He acquired KBRT in 1980 and, along with five other stations, used it to form the core of the Crawford Broadcasting Company from 1980 to 1991. Since then, an aggressive expansion program has yielded growth in key markets such as San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, St. Louis, Albany and Birmingham, to name a few.
In 1992, Don Crawford initiated The Crawford STAND, a daily commentary designed to express the company's conservative values. As an open forum, the company invites the public's editorial participation. The Crawford STAND airs on 22 stations nationwide and is archived online at
www.CrawfordBroadcasting.com.
The May interview with Donald B. Crawford, Sr. will air on KBRT's live afternoon call-in program, the Paul McGuire Show. It is the first of several key interviews scheduled to mark the station's 25th Anniversary celebration.
