Radio Group Hires New GM
May 13, 2005 -- Caldemone came from Lafayette where he served as Vice President and General Manager for Radio Works. He oversaw operations of two of the top rated stations in the Lafayette market, "Today's Hit Music B 102.9" and "Lafayette's Rock Station KHY 93.5". Prior to his experience in Lafayette Caldemone has been in the radio business for 18 years, serving as General Manager at WMDH in New Castle, Indiana and working for Network Indiana as V.P. and General Manager.
Mike Peterson, the former General Manager and managing partner of the cluster will move into a special projects role and continue to service advertising clients. Peterson and Anderson, Indiana businessman Dan Lacy have grown the radio station cluster since 1990 in Terre Haute to become the largest radio station group in the market. "Ernie was chosen to head our group because he has a proven track record of meeting the needs of advertisers and giving radio listeners the sounds they love," stated Mike Peterson. "We have come a long way since we started buying stations in this market and now it is time to turn the corner and really see what we can become."
Crossroads Communications Inc. has no immediate plans for any changes to the stations. Currently the radio group airs, adult conservative, oldies, adult standards and sports talk programming. The stations also cover local news, weather and play-by-play sports coverage of area high school and collegiate teams. WAXI and the two AM stations are currently airing Chicago Cubs baseball games.
