BreakThru Radio Airs Special Minty Fresh Records Showcase

BreakThru Radio (BTR), the Internet's source for the World's Best Independent Music, announced today that it will air a brand new specialty show co-hosted by DJ Matt and DJ Emily, showcasing the energetic indie pop label, Minty Fresh Records. This significant new show will feature a playlist with many talented artists from the impressive label. The "Minty Fresh Showcase" is the latest installment in the station's impressive series of record label specialty shows.

Minty Fresh Records was started in 1993 by Jim Powers and Anthony Musiala in Chicago, Illinois. The label, which also publishes music, is a "steadfast purveyor of intriguing pop" dedicated to bringing listeners the best new pop music from around the globe. Today, Minty Fresh is home to artists such as The Cardigans, Liz Phair, Ivy, The Children's Hour, and Veruca Salt.

"Minty Fresh has been a bastion of underground pop music for a good 14 years now," says DJ Matt. "In that time, they have amassed an eclectic library boasting a great many foreign acts that most people have never heard of. Emily and I are going to change all that. Bands like Husky Rescue, Beangrowers, Wrongkong and Standard need to be noticed, and we hope this showcase will help to get the ball rolling with our listeners."

The "Minty Fresh Showcase" is available in the station's archive and program guide, along with all of BTR's previous record label showcases and other specialty programs.
