Award-winning The Lucas Cates Band sends out its duo to "test the waters" on the West Coast and prepares to release its sophomore CD, "All The Pieces."
Fresh out of the studio, finishing up his sophomore CD, award winning musician Lucas Cates and his guitarist Kenny Leiser are embarking on a five-week West Coast duo tour.
Lucas's debut record, "Contradictory," on indie label PopBomb Records, sold in excess of 2,000 copies, an amazing feat for an indie musician. Magical melodies and stellar vocals highlight
the debut. Die-hard Lucas Cates fans anxiously await the release of "All The Pieces," Lucas's sophomore offering, which is being produced, pressed, and released independently. Fans can
expect more of Lucas's rock roots to take center stage on this effort. Lucas's sound has enabled him to move from local player to national and international touring artist and this is
only the beginning for this incredibly talented young musician.
Lucas and Kenny are joined in the full band by Jesse Warmka on drums and backing vocals, Ryan Casey on keys and backing vocals, and the band's newest member, Mark Noxon on bass and
backing vocals. Together, the Lucas Cates Band is making a move on the national scene through tours to the southeast and Colorado, with plans for other tours in the works. Lucas was
invited to participate in this year's Cutting Edge Music Business Conference, one of the largest music conferences in the southeast, and performed solo in the industry showcase. The full
band will be in Memphis, Tennessee, for Labor Day weekend to participate in the Memphis Music and Heritage Festival as the sole touring band invited to participate in this year's
festival. This band is on a meteoric rise to the top, and West Coast music lovers will have the unique opportunity to sample the music through the duo.
Lucas and Kenny will start out in Pocatello, Idaho, on September 3 and will head west to Washington state for dates in Spokane and Seattle. Following four dates in British Columbia,
Canada, Lucas and Kenny will visit Portland and Ashland, Oregon; San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and Escondido, California, before heading east to Cave Creek,
Flagstaff, and Jerome, Arizona; Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado; and finally, Omaha, Nebraska. Stay tuned to http://www.lucascates.com for more
information and specifics on the duo tour and to download the band's debut CD. Music from the band's first album is also available at iTunes.
