Service Department Gives Back to International Community


Todd Walt, Conquest Imaging Service Engineer for the San Francisco Bay region, has been participating with CMIA biomedical technicians at Washington Hospital in a relief effort to send donated medical equipment to Afghanistan. Working on his weekends and off duty hours, Mr. Walt is assisting with the repair and testing of ultrasound imaging machines, patient monitoring equipment, anesthesia systems and other biomedical instruments.

Mark Conrad, President and Founder of Conquest Imaging, has authorized the material department to draw from the 17,000 parts in his warehouse to provide Mr. Walt with those parts, at no charge to the CMIA, needed for the repairs. Mr. Conrad feels strongly that giving back to the ultrasound community is one way of saying 's8220;thank you for your support's8221; and by leading the way he hopes to encourage other businesses to participate more actively.

Paul Conrad, the new Vice President of Business Development, actively encourages all the members of his service team to make themselves available to not-for-profit organizations who must be continuously fiscally vigilant. Mr. Conrad has established a reduced hourly service rate and preferred discounts for qualified not-for-profit customers.
