June 23, 2005 -- Totoku's new ME351i is a 20.8", 3 megapixel, grayscale, medical LCD display. The ME351i, incorporates an exclusive, new generation of integrated luminance technology called Lambda Sentinel II. Lambda Sentinel II is comprised of a front luminance sensor and an internal temperature sensor which are constantly collecting, analyzing and adjusting exact luminance levels, thereby eliminating backlight fluctuation. Lambda Sentinel II technology also increases the speed of the ME351i's backlight rise time to the DICOM calibrated level, thereby stabilizing the backlight in under one minute.
The ME351i features 700 cd/m2 brightness, 900:1 contrast ratio, exceptional 170 degree viewing angles and 11-bit grayscale, achieving 2048 shades of gray from a pallet of 3826. The ME351i ships with PCI or PCI Express video cards, is DICOM compliant and includes an integrated hardware pivot function for a quick switch to landscape or portrait orientation, without the use of pivot software.
The ME351i can directly interface with Totoku's display management software, PM Medivisor via a client-server network configuration. PM Medivisor essentially assists administrators to achieve a centralized system in a distributed healthcare environment. Features include calibration scheduling based on a future calendar date, or after a specified number of hours of usage, as well as history and alert tracking. Administrators can monitor all the displays within the enterprise, and receive alerts via email or pager if an LCD falls out of calibration.
