Fischer SenoScan2 Digital Mammography System is the latest addition to a comprehensive suit of diagnostics imaging modalities at Orange County Diagnostics. This system is based on the patented Slot Scan Digital Mammography (SSDM) technology which offers the highest available image quality with 60% reduction in radiation exposure.



Digital mammography is different from a standard mammogram. With digital pictures, the physician can zoom in, magnify and optimize different parts of the breast tissue in the picture without having to take an additional image.



In terms of preparation, positioning, and the look of the machine, the patient experience is unchanged. However, the result of the test offers several advantages, including a more powerful diagnosis. Included in the advantages are:



* Fewer patients have to come back for additional pictures



* Less anxiety as pictures are generated immediately



* Less time for appointments, as results are obtained faster



* The ability for physicians to magnify and optimize mammography results



Mammogram appointments may require a physicians order, or may be self-referral.

We provide 66 hours of outpatient imaging service a week for the patients and physicians within our community, including Saturdays. All exams are promptly interpreted, reviewed and signed by board certified Radiologists.
