"Start with a list of your priorities, and make sure that "you" are included in that list. Oftentimes, women forget themselves completely. You have to be at the top of your list. Then set small, attainable goals to help you achieve those priorities. Finally, assess your progress on a daily basis and give yourself the credit you deserve," she says.

Cot herself has used these methods in her own career, first as a licensed real estate and mortgage broker and now a successful private real estate investor.
