The Affinia Shelburne received a top-to-bottom renovation including a full redesign and reconfiguring of the hotel'ss guest rooms as well as an entirely new lobby. The lobby was
reconfigured to offer comfortable living-room like spaces. The theme is based on friends and family sharing time together in the hotel as a residential retreat from the urban experience
outside. Thus, the patterns and colors are natural and warm - bright reds, golds, dark browns and spots of green. The new guest rooms are urban, classic and comfortable, with an open
floor plan and modern, in-room granite pantries, as well as custom in-room vanity/wardrobes with well-lit dressing areas. All the furnishings were custom-designed and the carpets and
flooring are LEED rated. Like its sister Affinia Hotels featuring the Cityscape experience in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, the Affinia Shelburne will offer guests an urban escape
centering on a rooftop lounge, Rare View, with an outside terrace to which guests can escape to relax, socialize, work or host a private party. The restaurant Rare, located on the
hotel'ss lobby level, is a local favorite, called a burger heaven by Cityscape.
