Chang Group Initiates Fresh Start Program Helping Foreclosed Families...



The Chang Group, one of the largest property management companies in Southwest Florida, has announced an effective new program--Fresh Start Homes--that helps families in need secure a home while helping lenders manage and dispose of their other real estate owned properties.



Dr. Jacqueline Chang, the President of the Chang Group said we created the Fresh Start Homes program to address the growing need of families to have affordable housing even though their credit has deteriorated. Our company foresaw the changing dynamics of the local economy and implemented the Fresh Start Home program to serve those families that have been foreclosed on, have had their credit scores ruined and have their lives torn by the economy.



The Fresh Start Home program is unique and is designed to allow families to rent, lease/option or buy a home even with the credit challenges. Fresh Start Homes clients are lenders who have secured the title to the homes and are willing to either sell, lease/option or rent the home to those families in NEED. Specifically, if a potential buyer has credit issues our clients/lenders will provide a lease option and will deposit up to 75% of the lease payments into a savings account to be used for the down payment. The timely lease payments are reported to PRBC'ss FICO Plus score which enhances the buyers's credit score.



The Fresh Start Home program not only helps families in need, but helps the community by filling the vacant homes. This reduces crime, brings new families to the area and helps to reduce the loss the lenders suffer.



The majority of the Fresh Start Homes are new/never lived in homes. The homes have all been maintained by the lenders and are move in ready. These homes were originally sold for more than $250,000. Now the homes are affordable and can be purchased for less than 50% financed by the lenders/owners at or below market rates and rented or leased for $750 to $1,100 per month. Fresh Start Homes has several hundred homes available under this program.



Since inception in mid November 2008, more than 60 families have been served by Fresh Start Homes. Dr. Chang stated we anticipate serving several hundred more families in the next few months. These families now have the chance to have the American Dream of owning a home.
