Reno Rancho Realty, a new residential real estate brokerage specializing in horse properties, acreages, ranchettes and vacant land, recently opened in May 2006. The company is founded by
Ken Wiseman, Broker/Owner, who most recently was with Keller Williams Group One Realty in Reno. Ken has been specializing in country properties since he moved to Reno two and half years
ago, and as a result of his focused efforts, he has been a top ranking Keller Williams agent since he joined. He was the recipient of the Rising Star award in 2004 and recipient of the
Top Listing Agent award in 2005. For the year to date through April 2006, he was the #1 grossing salesperson at Keller Williams with over $7 million in homes sold and the #1 listing
agent.
According to Ken Wiseman, 's8220;Reno's8217;s country markets have been underserved by professional realtors. Country properties are all unique, and require extra skill and knowledge. It
is important that your real estate agent has an understanding of the value and issues pertaining to wells, water rights, septic systems, lot lines, outbuildings and range lands.'s8221;
Country properties are a distinct subset of the Reno market, as Ken says, 's8220;my clients are typically of two types: out-of-state buyers looking to move to Reno for an open space
lifestyle, and people who have lived in Reno or Sparks for a while and are now looking for more space and privacy away from the growing city.'s8221;
Ken is joined at Reno Rancho Realty by his wife Shannon Wiseman, who until recently was with commercial real estate company CB Richard Ellis in Reno. Shannon brings an analytical focus to
her work, from her Stanford MBA education and commercial investments experience, and enjoys the challenge that unique horse properties provide. She appreciates the chance to get out from
behind a desk and back into the field. She grew up on a cattle ranch in Alberta Canada and understands the draw people have to the western lifestyle. Shannon says, 's8220;Reno has old
west roots and we help people to connect with that, whether they have lived in Northern Nevada their whole lives or if they are new to area.'s8221;
Ken and Shannon moved to Reno from Jackson Hole, Wyoming in early 2004. They scoured the country for the ideal place to live, and chose Reno due the availability of a country lifestyle in
close proximity to a thriving city and endless recreation. They live in the Rancho Haven area with their four dogs and two horses, living the lifestyle they help others to find.
