UK Estate Agents Are Not Afraid Of Competing For New Business
In a little over one month of launching www.happyseller.co.uk, a new free web service that introduces local estate agents and home sellers, has received more than 300 registrations from UK estate agencies proving that they are not afraid to compete to win new business.
Oxford, UK December 14, 2005 -- www.happyseller.co.uk receives over 300 applications from UK estate agents in just over one month since launching.
The new Web site, which opened in October 2005, aims to save UK home sellers money by letting multiple local estates provide quotes for selling their property. This benefits home sellers
because each agent can see what others have quoted and therefore reduce their costs to compete.
It also benefits estate agencies because they are provided with details of new properties coming to the market without doing any canvassing.
"The amount of agents who have registered in the month has far exceeded my expectations and proves that the idea can work," said Brett Hambridge, owner of happyseller.co.uk "It proves
that estate agents, including members of some of the largest estate agency groups in the UK, are not afraid to compete for local business. Feedback from agents also shows that they are
happy to offer more services to win business such as web-based advertising of properties."
www.happyseller.co.uk is a free to use Web site for both estate agents and home sellers. Home sellers advertise the fact that they wish to sell their house and the site then emails local
estate agents asking them to describe a price for selling the property and to list which services they will use to market it.
Once the home seller has chosen which agent they wish to use their details are forwarded to the successful agent and the relationship with www.happyseller ends. The usual contracts
between estate agent and vendor are then signed.
The website only allows traditional estate agencies to submit quotes. It also includes a feedback system which allows estate agents to be rated by previous registered sellers.
