World Hongming Foundation Earthquake Reconstructions Need Help

IRS-approved World Hongming Foundation calls for generous donations to help the massive earthquake reconstructions in China where the magnitude 8.0 earthquake and thousands of aftershocks took place in Sichuan China on May 12, 2008 and thereafter.

As of May 26, 2008, the Chinese Cabinet confirmed death toll from the quake rose to 65,000, with another 23,000 people missing. Premier Wen Jiabao has said the number of dead could surpass 80,000. In addition, around 15,000,000 residential homes and thousands of schools collapsed, more than 5,000,000 people have become homeless, 2,300 large dams were damaged, and 40% local government officials were killed by this most powerful earthquake and aftershocks in China.

Now the most urgent need is timely and proper earthquake reconstructions to avoid extensive social and health problems. Generous donations from the general public and all capable entities are encouraged to support the massive after-earthquake reconstruction.

Personalized funding projects and fund names are well accepted. Official receipts are to be issued to all donors for tax-deductible purposes. Donors are advised to simply write a personal or corporate check and mail the donation to the following:
