Pluss Introduces Manufacturers Resource Planning MRP Module

February 10, 2005 -- Pluss Corporation is proud to introduce the M.R.P. Module for the new PTM Echelon suite; the M.R.P. Module was one of the first add-ons to PTM upgraded for the new version of PTM.

The Manufacturers Resource Planning (MRP) Module from PTM Inc. is available through Pluss Corporation! This exciting module is designed for companies that use manufacturing processes and/or use bill of materials to forecast inventory needs. MRP allows the user to know what Bill of Materials (BOM) is required to manufacture or build your finished goods. You can even have multi-level kits, i.e. sub-kits inside kits. If you do not have the components required they will be backordered no matter if they are single components or components of a kit. You have the ability to sell the kit part number at the point of sale, but when going through the manufacturing process the individual components of the kit or sub-kit will display on the work order. You will be able to track the individual cost of the components and update that new cost. Ultimately you will know the cost of the entire manufacturing process and be able to schedule it in advance. MRP is a great addition to the PTM Production module.
