Tinnitus Survey The Most Significant Tinnitus Survey Since The 1980s

T-Gone Tinnitus Remedies today published the results of what could be the most significant tinnitus survey since the 1980'ss.

The survey, which was completed by over 1,700 tinnitus patients, was aimed at discovering the major cause of hearing loss and tinnitus (http://www.t-gone.com/tinnitus/). It was also aimed at discovering the exact tinnitus noises and sounds experienced by thousands of tinnitus patients. The severity and frequency of the noises was also explored.

The survey proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that exposure to noise is indeed the predominant cause of hearing loss and tinnitus, remarked John Currie, president and CEO of T-Gone Tinnitus Remedies.

In fact, over 60% of the respondents indicated that exposure to noise or situations that lead to cochlear damage, which causes hearing loss and tinnitus, was the cause of their problem.

It is our hope that educators, schools and colleges throughout the world will take note of this survey. The idea is to educate the youth about the dangers of exposure to loud noises, said John.

With the prevalence of MP3 players such as the Apple iPod, and virtually every modern cell phone also being an MP3 and or a video player, more and more young people are suffering from hearing loss and tinnitus at an early age.

This can easily be prevented by educating the youth. After all, if they know of the dangers, many would choose to play these devices and lower volumes if they were aware of the dangers. Most young people have never even heard of tinnitus and most kids will associate hearing loss with their grandparents.

There are so many studies have shown that over 75% of regular attendees at clubs and pubs where loud music is played are at risk of permanent hearing damage, said John. The problem is that the very people at risk are the ones who are ignorant of the dangers!

The results of the survey which educators and parents are asked to link to, or at the very least, to print out and discuss with their classes can be accessed here http://www.t-gone.com/tinnitus-survey/survey-september2008.html

The tinnitus survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspxsm=UhVRBNiL7AKqDl75UmFlHA%3d%3d) is permanently open and anyone is free to participate.
